To Delete Custom Cost Types and Categories

The Delete button on the Types and Categories dialog box is used to delete a custom cost type or category. Deleting a type automatically deletes its associated categories at the same time.

Attempting to delete a type or category for a custom cost that is being used in a design will result in an error message.

  1. On the Tools menu, point to System Administration and then click Types & Categories to open the Types and Categories dialog box.
  2. In the Types or Categories list, double-click the item that you want to delete, click the Delete button, and then click OK.
